HERE'S WHAT YOUR NEIGHBOURS ARE SAYING ABOUT
Dr. Iqbaljot Dhunna grew up in Calgary and began his dental journey in 2012 after earning a Bachelor's degree in Dental Surgery from India. After practicing dentistry in India for a year, he returned to Canada, drawn back by his love for his home and loved ones.
In Toronto, he prepared for the National Dental Board exams and gained admission to the DDS program at the prestigious Schulich School of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. He graduated from UWO in June 2020. Throughout his education, he had the opportunity to work with dental missions in India, Jamaica, and outreach programs in London. He constantly seeks to expand his knowledge through Continuing Dental Education courses, which he applies to his daily practice. Since graduating, he has been serving communities in and around Calgary, including Castor and Brooks.
Dr. Dhunna is skilled in various general dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal treatments, extractions, oral surgeries, and cosmetic dentistry. He specializes in helping patients with dental anxiety, gag reflex issues, and dental emergencies. His patients describe him as gentle, informative, and able to put them at ease during their visits. Dr. Dhunna also performs oral cancer screenings and refers patients as needed.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Dhunna cherishes quality time with his family. He enjoys gardening, hosting BBQs, and outdoor activities like cycling, hiking, and kayaking in the Rockies.

How often you go for dental exams depends on your oral health needs. The goal is to catch small problems early. For many people, this means a dental exam every six months. Your dentist may suggest that you visit more or less often depending on how well you care for your teeth and gums, problems you have that need to be checked or treated, how fast tartar builds up on your teeth, and so on.
How often you need to have x-rays also depends on your oral health. A healthy adult who has not had cavities or other problems for a couple of years probably won't need x-rays at every appointment. If your dental situation is less stable and your dentist is monitoring your progress, you may require more frequent x-rays.
Original dental records belong to the dentist who provided the treatment, and not the patient, because dentists have to keep all of their records for a period of time, as set out by their provincial dental regulatory body. Once you have selected a new dentist, you can request that a copy of your records be transferred from your former dentist.
